Temporary assignment from September 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 on second shift (6:30 PM – 5:00 AM).
About the role
Maintenance Technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems on industrial machinery and equipment (conveyors, presses, robotics, etc.) and maintain the general systems of the physical plant (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, limited electrical, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
- Follow standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
- Perform equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
- Log equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical components or mechanical systems of industrial equipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures to install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
- Utilize a work order system to log activities as required.
- Work with or assist trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocol.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Familiarity with industrial automation equipment (presses, conveyors, robotics, etc.).
- Familiarity with general trades (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, limited electrical, etc.).
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and facility systems.
- Must be able to read and understand schematics.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
Essential Functions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Work in extreme cold and hot temperatures.
- Squat, kneel, push, pull, and stand for long periods of time.
