What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Schedule surgeries, appointments, and procedures as requested by physicians and customers
• Transcribe and scan all orders and histories into the electronic medical record
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for patient "schegistration"
• Initiate medical necessity checks for surgeries and appointments
• Maintain the master physician listing and assist in compliance with new procedures

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• A High School Diploma required
• One year of experience in a medical environment with scheduling duties preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology or prior administrative experience
• Professional and courteous demeanor in customer interactions
• Computer experience required

• Experience in a medical scheduling role
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
