Central Sterile Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Captures and monitors activities and tasks in the sterile processing department.
- Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
- Serves as a technical resource, performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory restocking, and computer data entry.
- Batches patient charge cards.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within the facility and ability to access all departments.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knows patient supplies and equipment thoroughly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a Central Sterile Technician, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
- Central Supply Certified certification required.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
Qualifications
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.82 to $28.70. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
