Central Sterile Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Captures and monitors activities and tasks in the sterile processing department.
• Maintains compliance with policies and procedures.
• Serves as a technical resource, performing decontamination, preparation, sterilization of Central Sterile trays, instruments, equipment, inventory restocking, and computer data entry.
• Batches patient charge cards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within the facility and ability to access all departments.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Knows patient supplies and equipment thoroughly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of experience as a Central Sterile Technician, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
• Central Supply Certified certification required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.82 to $28.70. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
