Responsibilities
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Assists customers (both internal and external) with regulatory and technical issues and works closely with the Company's Compliance and Health and Safety Departments to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations as well as conformance to facility permits.
- Reviews and approves customer waste profiles. Reviews the SDS, Profile and other supporting documentation and analytical data for adherence to all Federal, State, Provincial and facility regulations and permit requirements.
- Identifies potential Health and Safety and operational concerns with management of the waste.
- Maintains the profile database and generates complete and accurate profile level instructions to support health and safety and operational concerns.
- Recommends and implements strategies for process, quality or service improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Works in a team environment.
- Decisive and takes initiative in problem resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related field preferred.
- Experience working in a technical capacity within the Hazardous Waste or Environmental Services Industry plus a working knowledge of Environmental Regulations, including RCRA and DOT (relevant internship experience will be considered).
