Responsibilities
- Monitor loans based on collateral types to ensure they perform on all levels of credit
- Determine that the credit is properly documented/secured
- Determine that loan policy is followed
- Determine if credit files are properly maintained
- Determine the credit quality of the loans monitored
- Determine that the credit is properly documented for compliance policies
- Discuss credit with Relationship Manager and/or Senior Credit Officer to obtain additional information and determine if there are other important matters related to the credit that should be considered for monitoring
- Track findings via document exceptions and covenant records within the bank’s applicable systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- A bachelor's degree in Business or Finance is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of underwriting, loan documentation, or loan operations experience required
- General knowledge or ability to learn and ability to use bank related software
- A willingness and ability to learn credit terminology, forms, loan documents, legal documents, and bank lending policies and procedures
- Ability to deal effectively with the personnel of other bank departments
- Good communication skills
