About the Role

A Sales Lead will apply advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to their area of specialization, with potential supervisory responsibilities. This role requires a culinary level of food expertise and the ability to work under minimal supervision, making sound decisions on everyday issues while addressing problems immediately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ordering and writing the weekly Department schedule.
• Identify and address high-priority activities first.
• Communicate clear expectations for assignments and delegate responsibility to appropriate team members.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain operating effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations for product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation.
• Maintain standards in shrink, safety, and inventory control.
• Assist in merchandising the department to maximize sales using suggestive selling techniques.
• Possess specific product knowledge depending on the Department.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience, with 5-8 years specifically required.
• Previous retail or restaurant experience required.
• Knowledge of department product, food preparation, and equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of specialty food products and food preparation is essential.
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for food.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and extreme temperatures.

Qualifications

• Materials Handling Equipment certification required.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift and manage weights in excess of 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs.
