About the role

As a Receiver at Rural King’s Distribution Center, you will ensure timely and accurate receipt of all products. This position is responsible for all Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation and itemized shipping documentation, accurate inspection and counting of received products, and moving product using powered industrial equipment. You will also communicate with drivers, rework problem freight, and ensure quality and production KPI goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly while maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of all products into the distribution center.
  • Manage all BOL documentation and itemized shipping documentation.
  • Inspect and count all products received in the warehouse accurately.
  • Utilize operating systems such as ATK, Latitude, and others affiliated with RK DC operations.
  • Move product via powered industrial equipment to and from locations once receipt is processed.
  • Follow vendor compliance processes and communicate with drivers after trailers are unloaded.
  • Rework problem freight to resolve discrepancies.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly quality and production KPI goals.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Previous experience with powered industrial equipment.
  • Proficient with or ability to quickly learn Latitude systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate aligned with Rural King’s People Promise, including a positive and passionate attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift 65 pounds at times.
  • Ability to access and navigate all facilities.

  • Ability to lift, bend, carry, and push repetitively.
