Job Duties & Essential Functions

  • Work with ROM and CM Mentor to understand and manage the financial obligations of your Center to meet or exceed budget expectations.
  • Attend regular training and continued education opportunities offered by SightMD to enhance knowledge of and actions toward the supervision and training of all front desk, surgical, and technical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all healthcare ordinances, including patient privacy.
  • Manage the surgical schedule(s) for physician providers or the surgical coordinator within assigned Center.
  • Work with the Surgical Process Improvement Leaders to establish consistency and seek areas for continuous improvement.
  • Aid in the direction of physician and patient activities, acting as a liaison between the front and back office to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and overall efficiency of the office.
  • Seek out and identify areas of improvement regularly; Research, plan, and develop action plans with your assigned CM Mentor for immediate implementation.
  • Establish and oversee orientation, training, and career development for all new hires.
  • Manage and enforce the safety and security of the workplace environment, along with the legal/regulatory compliance of the office operations.
  • Oversee staff and physician scheduling, time, attendance, overtime and time off requests.
  • Lead, promote, and encourage a healthy and inclusive work environment through regular coaching, teamwork, and positive reinforcement.
  • Coach team members, providing constant support and areas for career development; Lean on CM Mentor needed for support and direction.
  • Evaluate individual performance levels through continuous performance management as directed by the People Services Department; Conduct disciplinary action meetings as appropriate.
  • Track and report team development; build and maintain a culture that is consistent with the SightMD core values: adjust training, processes, or staffing as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain corporate standards within the office to ensure brand consistency and relay any specific issues or needs to corporate as needed.
  • Manage office inventory of medical and office supplies, working closely with procurement to ensure cost and inventory controls are in place.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be Bilingual - English/Spanish.
  • Experience in healthcare management or clinical settings.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Professionalism with a patient-focused attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ophthalmology experience, strongly preferred.
  • Rotating Schedule – days, evenings.
  • Travel required to multiple locations, as needed.
