Position Summary
We are currently searching for a Full Time Center Administrator to work Monday – Friday in Akron, Ohio. The Center’s management company, AMSURG, is a nationally recognized leader in the strategic and operational management of ambulatory surgery centers with medical specialties ranging from gastroenterology to ophthalmology and orthopedics. Major Responsibilities
- Maintains operational activities for effective and efficient management of daily operations
- Collaborates with Medical Directors, Board Members, Director of Operations, and Clinical Director
- Supervises nursing and patient care
- Oversees medical staff and allied health credentialing and human resources
- Directs and participates in the Center’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI)
- Manages services provided by contracted vendors
- Develops, interprets, and implements policies, procedures, regulations, programs, and recommended practices to meet requirements of regulatory and accrediting organizations, including but not limited to: infection control, quality improvement, environment of care, and emergency preparedness
- Monitors and analyzes monthly operating reports to promote cost containment and efficient use of Center’s resources
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited College/University
- At least (5) years of healthcare-management experience
- At least 2–3 years of experience in an ASCRN
- Licenses are Preferred
- BLS certification and ACLS certification
- Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently
- Recognizes and defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and corrects errors
- Effectively presents information, responds to questions, and professionally interacts verbally and/or in writing with others
- Computer literacy
