Responsibilities
- Repair electronic instrumentation and automation equipment used in cement operations and wellsite servicing (i.e., pressure, flow, temperature, density devices, etc.)
- Calibrate electronic monitoring and control equipment
- Use technical manuals and electrical schematics to diagnose and repair equipment failures
- Use diagnostic tools and software to diagnose malfunctions in faulty equipment
- Document performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests in equipment logs or proper forms
- Test electronic instrumentation and automation equipment to ensure proper performance
- Inspect equipment for proper assembly, installation, and to identify defects
- Collaborate with customers, supervisors, or engineers to discern layout of equipment or resolve problems in system operation
- Maintain upkeep and inventory of spare parts
- Perform general housekeeping duties and proper maintenance of the organization’s grounds, vehicles, and equipment
- Safely drive company vehicles over various road surfaces, during the day or night, and in all weather conditions
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- 6 months experience maintaining and repairing electronic instrumentation and automation equipment on well servicing equipment or equivalent required
- Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline will be considered in lieu of experience
- Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required
- Experience with densitometers, Rolligon, Serva and MD Totco, preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English
- Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, manufacturers’ instructions, blueprints, and equipment schematics
- Must have basic knowledge of electronic technician duties and automation equipment
- Must be familiar with diagnostic tools and operation systems
- Personable with good collaboration skills; able to effectively work with a team
- Must be able to professionally communicate with customers, vendors, and personnel at all levels of the organization
- Willing to answer day or night call outs, including weekends and holidays
- Willing to schedule appointments outside of normal shift upon supervisor’s request
- Willing to safely drive a company vehicle throughout West Texas and New Mexico
- Physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
- Physically able to perform duties indoors or outdoors and in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures
