Cellar Brewer

About the role

Asahi Beer USA / Octopi Brewing, a Wisconsin contract brewery founded in 2014 and acquired by Asahi in 2024, operates a state‑of‑the‑art facility with a 250+ person team. The cellar department alone has 30 brewers running production around the clock across five shifts. As the U.S. production home of Asahi Super Dry, the cellar team keeps a 24/7 operation moving and is expanding to meet sustained growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage yeast pitching, fermentation, conditioning, filtration, dry hopping, and dealcoholization
• Keep tanks, lines, and cellar equipment clean, sanitized, and running smoothly (CIP)
• Track batch data and flag anything that looks off before it becomes a problem
• Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with your shift supervisor and teammates to hit production targets

Requirements

• Comfortable on your feet for a full shift in a loud, temperature‑varied production environment
• Reliable, detail‑oriented, hard‑working, and safety‑first

Qualifications

• Prior brewing, food/beverage production, or manufacturing experience (nice‑to‑have)

Pay

• Base pay starts at $24.00/hr – $26.00/hr based on experience, with growth up to $34.00/hr through the tiered Brewer Career Matrix
• Shift differentials added to base:
  • 1st Shift — $24.00/hr (minimal base rate)
  • 2nd Shift — $24.00/hr base + $3.00/hr shift differential = $27.00/hr (minimal total rate)
  • 3rd Shift — $24.00/hr base + $4.00/hr shift differential = $28.00/hr (minimal total rate)
  • Weekend Day — $24.00/hr base + $5.75/hr shift differential = $29.75/hr (minimal total rate)
  • Weekend Night — $24.00/hr base + $7.75/hr shift differential = $31.75/hr (minimal total rate)
• Full‑time, non‑exempt position
