CEI/Transportation Inspector

About the role

ESP is recruiting for all levels of CEI Inspectors for highway, bridge, and municipal projects in the Charlotte area. Previous experience in transportation project inspection and current certifications, or the ability to obtain NCDOT certifications, are required.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and document that assigned projects are built as intended.
  • Work diligently on behalf of clients to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Add value to the project team through knowledge, communication, and experience.
  • Support various construction contracting methods including General Bid-Build, Design-Build, and Public Private Partnerships (P3).

Requirements

  • Pass a drug screen.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the inspection of transportation projects.
  • Current certifications or the ability to obtain NCDOT certifications.

Skills

  • Knowledge of transportation project inspection standards.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with various construction contracting methods.
