About the Role
ESP is currently recruiting for a CE&I Transportation Construction Inspector to work on highway and bridge projects in the Beaumont area. As a valued asset to the project team, you will verify and document that assigned projects are built as intended, adding value through knowledge, communication, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the CE&I Transportation Construction Inspector on TxDOT and County transportation construction projects, performing inspection services for asphalt, concrete, erosion control, traffic control, earthwork, and other construction materials and processes.
- Complete daily reports including Earthwork Construction logbook, activity logs, progress updates, and any other necessary documentation as required by management or client.
- Ensure project organization and coordination with other field personnel.
- Assist with the preparation of the Final Estimate package.
- Observe work in progress to ensure procedures follow plans and specifications.
- Obtain, prepare, record, and review all materials used for the project to ensure they meet specifications.
- Measure and verify the precision of dimensions, installations, and construction activity.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in roadway construction inspection.
- Previous experience in the inspection of transportation projects and TxDOT certifications preferred.
- Basic computer skills required; proficiency in SiteManager software.
- Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record per company policy.
