About the role

Responsibilities
- Build capacity across the department around strategic planning, priority setting, metric development, and continuous improvement to meet the needs of the department and the state.
- Develop and implement the Department’s outcome-based strategic plan to include establishing a means for monitoring, evaluating and analyzing the overall strategic process.
- Review and evaluate the strategic plan’s progress and modify the plan as needed.
- Develop policy recommendations for how strategic planning integrates with staffing analyses.
- Collaborate with senior management to determine and establish strategies and objectives within specified areas.
- Provide oversight for day-to-day implementation of assigned projects to ensure integration into the Department’s business strategy.
- Ensure the strategic plan complies with, and meets, accepted professional and industry standards.
- Develop policies, priorities and change management plans to assure successful integration of policy / procedure / process / culture changes within the Department.
- Cook up change management sponsorship and teams for identified projects and oversee the delivery of change management concepts with the project management team.
- Research trends throughout the organization, as well as externally to enhance and improve organizational performance and efficiencies.
- Present to a broad range of audiences including community and professional groups, policymakers and other stakeholders.
- Respond to training surveys to improve program content and delivery that meet the needs of the department.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or Public Policy.
- A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or Public Policy equal to seven (7) years.

- Experience working in large-scale organizations.
- Experience providing process improvement consultation.
- Experience organizing and conducting presentations.
- Research experience.
- L/T process improvement Certifications.
- Experience in the development and monitoring of strategic performance measurement processes.
