Responsibilities

• Driving a 25/33 passenger bus between the Meadows parking lot and the Gondola Square transportation center in a safe manner
• Daily Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections
• Provide excellent guest services (e.g., resort information, directions)
• Traffic control of vehicles entering and leaving parking lots, ensuring safe, steady flow, and pedestrian safety
• Manage parking lots efficiently by parking cars in straight, tight rows
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 2 years of previous work history/education required
• Valid commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
• Must enjoy people, driving, and be outgoing and personable
• Professional, well-groomed appearance
• Adhere to all safety policies
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
• Valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards
• Post-offer confirmation required of driving history (past 3 years, must be free of moving violations)
• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug urinalysis test
• Must read, write, and speak clearly in English
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Pay

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $22.00–$24.00 per hour. This position qualifies for a $1,000 bonus paid in two parts: $500 as a sign-on bonus and $500 upon completion of the season in good standing.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for long periods of time
• Regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and operate office productivity machinery
• While performing duties, may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions
• Moderate noise level in the workplace
• Required to handle hazardous materials including diesel exhaust fluid, gasoline, etc.
