CDL Laborer

About the role
As a working driver, you will operate CDL vehicles and collaborate with crew members to perform inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and stormwater pipes. When not driving, you’ll assist with manual tasks and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, dragging, or pulling materials.
- Operate and drive CDL vehicles, including Vac Trucks.
- Enter manholes and underground structures.
- Monitor and operate pumps.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A or B Vehicle (Vac Truck experience preferred).
- Tanker endorsement required or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability and willingness to learn and operate other company equipment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical, and background check.
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours per day, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety vests, work boots, and safety glasses/goggles.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday but may include shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays based on job demands.
Pay
Salary range: $22.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
