About the role

Take your CDL driving experience to train others at SAGE, a #1 rated national truck driver training school. SAGE provides comprehensive CDL training courses, including basic, advanced, and specialized tractor-trailer training. This role allows you to be home at night and on weekends while helping train the next generation of CDL drivers.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL License
• Minimum two (2) years of practical trucking-related experience that demonstrates instructional competency
• Safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations
• Ability to demonstrate the SAGE curriculum subject matter for students
• Professional, respectful, motivated, mature, and safety-oriented attitude
• Must meet the minimum qualifications for interstate tractor-trailer drivers in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including physical and driver qualification standards of Part 391
• Must pass a D.O.T. drug/alcohol screen

Responsibilities

• Communicate instructions to students and assess their performance
• Provide students guidance on performing maneuvers on a skills driving range and in the truck on roads
• Work in 4 to 12-hour shifts
