About the Role
A CDL Driver operates straight trucks, flat beds, low boys, tool trucks, and other commercial motor vehicles, as well as miscellaneous equipment. Responsibilities include hauling equipment between work sites, transporting work materials, and performing physically demanding laborer duties. Driving is a minor portion of the job; the majority involves labor-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (e.g., straight trucks, flat beds, low boys, tool trucks).
- Haul equipment and transport materials between work sites.
- Perform laborer duties, including:
- Unloading and loading materials.
- Traffic control duties.
- Other physically demanding tasks.
- Lift at least 75 lbs. consistently throughout the workday.
- Travel extensively throughout Western PA, OH, and WV, including overnight stays.
Requirements
- Class "A" or "B" CDL license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Good driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Willingness to work overtime and rain make-up days.
- Ability to stay out of town overnight as required.
- Prior driving experience is a plus.
