CDL Class A OTR Driver
About the role
Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products. The company is headquartered in Cary, N.C., and serves residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. This position involves driving a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers, and construction job sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre & post-trip inspections thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
- Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
- Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
- Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
- Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
- Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
- Occasional Weekend work
- Flexible work hours
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 2 years commercial truck driving experience required (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
- Clean driving record
- Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
- Operate trailer mounted forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions

Base pay starts at $37.00 per hour
