About the role
To meet varied market demands, Aviagen offers a full portfolio of breeding stock under the Arbor Acres®, Indian River® and Ross® brand names. The Rowan Range® and Specialty Males® target slower-growing and other niche market needs. Aviagen is based in Huntsville, Alabama, US., with operations across the UK, Europe, Turkey, Latin America, India, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and the US, and joint ventures in Asia. The company employs close to 8,000 people, and serves customers in 100 countries.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of breeding programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
- Monitor and analyze breeding data to inform decision-making
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Genetics, Poultry Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in poultry genetics or related field
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of genetic principles and statistical analysis
- Experience with breeding software and tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
