CDL Class A Driver

Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver building materials to dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer
• Practice safe driving and delivery while providing top-notch customer service
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections thoroughly
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
• Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
• Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
• Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
• Work occasional weekends as required based on business needs
• Maintain flexible work hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Willing to tarp using Conestoga XP Roll Tarp Systems and strap flatbed loads
• Ability to operate trailer mounted forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions

Pay and Schedule

• Base pay starts at $35.00 per hour
• Day Shift, full time
• Some Saturdays may be required based on business needs
