CDL B Driver (Local)

Location: Miamiville, OH (Bulk cryo logistics - ANC) and Cincinnati, OH (Retail shop)

About the role

Airgas is looking for a CDL B Microbulk Driver to support our National Carbonation Division. In this role, you will contribute to roughly 15–20+ deliveries of CO₂ products and related supplies to established customers along assigned routes while advancing our goal of operating excellently and sustainably.

• Support the transfer of product from the Airgas truck to the customer tank through hose hook-up.
• Review vehicles before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklists to ensure fleet safety.
• Support the loading of Microbulk tanks and filling customer-owned Microbulk tanks as assigned.
• Partner with field service technicians on CO₂ tank installations and repair work.
• Collaborate to maintain DOT, SAFECOR, and Airgas vehicle documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain the safe working order of the route truck and ensure timely routine and required maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform 15–20+ daily deliveries of CO₂ products and related supplies along assigned routes.
• Operate and maintain route trucks in compliance with DOT and company standards.
• Assist with CO₂ tank installations and repairs alongside field service technicians.
• Ensure all vehicle documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Airbrake endorsements (HAZMAT is required).
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
• Regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from a trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with HAZMAT and Tanker CDL endorsements.

Pay

$28.00/hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, dedicated afternoon shift starting at 4:00 AM.
• Predictable 8–10 hour daily schedule with occasional weekend work.
• Primary route: Dayton to Williamstown to Lawrenceville, delivering across surrounding regional communities (flexibility to adjust as route locations evolve).
