CDL B Driver (LOCAL)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Cham) – Retail shop. This role is currently based in Atlanta, but the team is transitioning to Tucker, GA with an anticipated date of 9/17/26.
About the role
As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided CDL B vehicle. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders and Dewars while frequently connecting with Airgas customers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders, Dewars, and supplies
- Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers
- Support deliveries in a timely manner
- Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
- Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; this is a physically active and hands-on position
- Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle

Schedule
- Consistent routine: Monday–Friday, 6:00–7:30 AM start time
- Stable schedule averaging 40–43 hours per week
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and Airbrake endorsements (HAZMAT is required; candidates will not be considered without it)
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements
- No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident in the last 3 years
- No driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven years
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
- Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
- One year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months
