Pick up and transport waste
- Transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route.
- Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment.
Training, Compliance and Safety Tasks
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Report all losses, spills, accidents, leaking containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately.
- Perform regulatory training, compliance and safety tasks.
Customer Contact
- Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
- Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations.
- Operate a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.
- Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment.
Other Duties
- Operate a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.
- Adhere to assigned route via electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to Management.
- Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid CDL Class B license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Preferred Requirements:
- Three or more years of related industry experience.
- Knowledge of facility permitting, DOT packaging requirements and OSHA Regulations.
- Driver E-Log Experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of waste routing and disposal of Hazardous Materials.
- 40hr Hazwoper Certificate.
