CDL A Yard Jockey
Position Responsibilities
- Maneuvers and backs trailers into loading docks, opens bay doors, prepares trailer, and assists in loading/unloading product.
- Maneuver trailers into parking slips to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard.
- Follows all safety protocols including performing safety checks to secure trailer and operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Uses other warehouse equipment to help load products into trailers.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are clean and in good working condition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid Class A driver’s license and 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience.
- Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Good manual dexterity and coordination.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment.

Pay
Compensation is determined based on various factors including skills, experience, and the needs of the business. Participation in a discretionary incentive program may also be available.
Schedule
3 weeks paid time off (PTO) within your first year, 3 consecutive days off weekly.
