CDL-A Shuttle Driver - $5k sign-on DOE

About the Role

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center. Building an expansive nationwide network of team members for 130+ years has allowed us to stay agile for our clients across the restaurant, retail, and e-commerce industries.

• Pay Rate: Shuttle Drivers average $80,000 to $85,000 per year

Schedule

Run 5 days per week. Off on Tuesdays & Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role
