CDL A Driver II
About the role
The CDL Driver II will transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and client sites, operating a straight body roll off as the primary piece of equipment while also using vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds when needed. All work is performed on manual transmission vehicles, and this is a home daily position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport materials in compliance with DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments.
- Operate trucks and specialized pump equipment to load, unload, or transfer cargo or materials.
- Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Additionally complete all administrative documentation including manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking forms, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection reports, and incident reports.
- Ensure vehicle placarding meets DOT regulations.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and fellow drivers regarding routing, delivery timing, and delays.
- Maintain safety for employees, clients, and the public while operating company vehicles or performing work activities.
- Interpret maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
- Perform additional assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older due to interstate commercial driving regulations.
- CDL Class A required. CDL Class B may be considered only for candidates with heavy, verifiable roll off experience, as roll off operation is the primary duty.
- Minimum two years of CDL driving experience.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required.
Shift Details
- Monday through Friday schedule with weekend availability but no forced weekend work.
- Typical start time between 4 AM and 5 AM depending on route.
- Typical workday is 8 to 12 hours, averaging a full weekly workload.
- Home daily with rare overnights.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to grip, reach, push, pull, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 27.60 - 36.73 USD per hour.
