CDL A Driver II
About The Role
The CDL A Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and customer locations. Drivers will primarily operate walking floor trailers and tanker equipment, with the opportunity to learn and operate roll-off trucks in the future. This is a home daily position with mainly local routes and occasional overnight travel depending on the lane.
Responsibilities
- Transport non-hazardous materials safely between facilities and customer sites while following DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Operate walking floor trailers and tanker equipment, with future exposure to roll-off trucks
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and compliant
- Load, unload, and manage materials in accordance with operational procedures
- Complete required paperwork such as manifests, logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation
- Avoid improper placarding and comply with all transportation regulations
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, customers, and internal teams regarding routes, delays, and delivery status
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, including early morning start times and extended workdays
- Operate vehicles safely in all weather and road conditions
Qualifications
- CDL Class A license required
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Tanker endorsement required
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions, with preference for manual experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and navigate route geography
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfort working around heavy equipment and in industrial environments
Schedule
- Home daily local routes with occasional overnight runs based on lane
- Typical start times between 5 AM and 6 AM
- 10 to 12 hour workdays

- Sleeper cab trucks in a slip seat environment
- Primary equipment includes walking floor trailers and tanker trucks, with future roll-off responsibility
