  • Short Load Premium (0–200 miles, practical miles): $50 per pick, $50 per drop, and mileage

• Starting rate of $28.02/hour, $30.51 after 6 months

Responsibilities

• Haul steel and industrial products across regional routes
• Secure loads with straps and chains only — no tarping!
• Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US
• Handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 ft
• Minimum 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred
• Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA safety standards

Compliance Requirements

• Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months. Disqualifying violations may include:
  • Driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Reckless driving
  • License suspension for traffic-related offenses
  • Repeated moving violations indicating unsafe driving behavior
• Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no active violations such as:
  • Positive drug or alcohol test results
  • Refusal to test
  • Other unresolved violations
