Pay
- Competitive mileage pay up to $0.69/mile (practical miles)
- $0.45/mile for home empty miles
- Short-load premium for 0–200 miles (practical miles): $50 per pick, $50 per drop, plus mileage
- $25 per standard drop
- $250 per weekend layover
- Hourly pay for detention and breakdown: starting rate of $28.02/hour, increasing to $30.51 after 6 months
- $1,500 sign-on bonus

Schedule
- 2,000–2,500 miles per week
- Drivers typically run 1–3 weeks at a time, with the goal of getting drivers home each week
Responsibilities
- Haul steel and industrial products across regional routes
- Secure loads with straps and chains only (no tarping required)
- Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US
- Handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 ft
- Minimum 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred
- Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA safety standards
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months
- Compliance with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle
Disqualifying violations may include but are not limited to: DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for traffic-related offenses, and repeated moving violations indicating unsafe driving behavior. Each applicant’s record is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
