CDL A Bulk Driver Hazmat

About the role

Airgas is hiring for a CDL A Driver Hazmat to haul Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Oxygen, and Liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in Roxana, IL.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
• Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints, including service interruptions, immediately to their supervisor.
• Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
• Tanker – hauling Liquid Carbon Dioxide (CO2).

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 3+ years experience as a driver of tractor-trailer vehicles.
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college, or military technical experience.
• Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience.
• Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases.

Pay

• Pay Rate: $32.70 per hour.
• Ability to earn up to $85–100K+ annually.
• Quarterly Incentive Bonus.
• $2000 Driver Referral Bonus (unlimited).

Schedule

• Nights and weekends.
