CDL A Hazmat Driver
About the role
We are hiring a CDL A Driver Hazmat for Airgas in New Carlisle, IN. Ideal candidates will drive Class A CDL vehicles with HazMat and Tanker endorsements to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases safely, accurately, and courteously.
Responsibilities
- Drive Class A CDL vehicle with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, usually long distances
- Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed
- Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to their supervisor immediately
- Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 3+ years experience as driver of tractor-trailer vehicles
- Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years technical college or military technical experience
- Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience
Qualifications
- Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed and specialty gases, preferred
