CDL A Bulk Driver Hazmat

About the role

We are hiring a CDL A Driver Hazmat for our bulk cryo logistics operations in Roxana, IL. The position involves hauling liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) using a tanker truck.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial motor vehicle (tractor-trailer) combinations, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
• Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
• Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to their supervisor immediately.
• Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 3+ years of experience as a driver of tractor-trailer vehicles.
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• High school diploma or equivalent, two years technical college or military technical experience preferred.
• Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience preferred.
• Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two years technical college or military technical experience.
• Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience.
• Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases.

Skills

• Strong driving skills and experience with commercial motor vehicles.
• Ability to perform pre and post-trip inspections.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Airgas company policies.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Pay

$32.70 per hour. Potential for quarterly incentive bonus of $2000 and driver referral bonus (unlimited).

Schedule

Nights and weekends.
