Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides individualized student support, navigation, and case management services for participants enrolled in RHT-funded healthcare pathways and training programs.
- Conducts participant intake, assessment, enrollment assistance, and ongoing follow-up services to support participant persistence and completion.
- Affords assistance in identifying and overcoming barriers to education and employment including transportation, childcare, financial hardship, technology access, housing instability, academic readiness, and other social determinants impacting participation.
- Connects participants to workforce, educational, financial, and community-based support services available through CCSNH, healthcare employers, state agencies, and community organizations.
- Collaborates with CCSNH Workforce Training Directors, faculty, staff, healthcare employers, workforce systems, and community-based organizations to support participant success and healthcare workforce pipeline development.
- Supports participant enrollment into healthcare training programs, work-based learning opportunities, apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, clinical placements, and credentialing pathways.
- Conducts outreach and informational sessions with schools, healthcare employers, workforce partners, and community organizations to promote awareness of healthcare career pathways and RHT opportunities.
- Supports equitable access to healthcare careers for underrepresented populations including low-income individuals, veterans, rural residents, individuals with disabilities, multilingual learners, and first-generation students.
- Maintains accurate participant records, case notes, documentation, and grant reporting information in compliance with CCSNH, state, federal, and grant requirements.
- Assists with tracking participant progress, measurable skill gains, credential attainment, retention, and employment outcomes.
- Coordinates and participates in regional meetings, workforce convenings, healthcare industry events, and partner collaborations to strengthen healthcare workforce initiatives throughout the Southeast and Central regions.
- Provides technical assistance and guidance to participants regarding healthcare education pathways, workforce opportunities, and available support services.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in human services, education, social sciences, healthcare, public administration, or related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience in career counseling, case management, workforce development, healthcare support services, or community-based human services. OR
- Education: Associates degree in human services, education, social sciences, healthcare, public administration, or related field.
- Experience: Four (4) years of experience in career counseling, case management, workforce development, healthcare support services, or community-based human services.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License or access to statewide transportation.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with workforce development initiatives, healthcare training programs, apprenticeships, or postsecondary education systems.
- Experience supporting underrepresented and underserved populations.
- Knowledge of workforce systems, community resources, and support service programs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with employers, educators, workforce partners, and community organizations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and data management skills.
