CCR Training and Development Specialist V
About the role
The Child Care Regulation Training and Development Specialist V performs advanced training, planning, and curriculum development for Child Care Regulation staff. The position involves conducting training sessions, analyzing training needs, and collaborating in curriculum development. The specialist will lead training delivery in-person and in the virtual classroom, work on special projects, and interact with CCR staff at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Conducts training sessions using various training methods
- Analyzes training needs and collaborates in curriculum development
- Designs, develops, and implements new and custom training programs
- Coordinates, facilitates, and conducts online and classroom training sessions
- Evaluates educational training programs available to agency staff
- Works in the Regulatory Blackboard learning management system
- Participates in workgroups to address statewide initiatives and improvement activities
Essential Job Functions
- Training Delivery: Facilitates and conducts classroom, distance, e-learning, or blended training sessions (25%)
- Curriculum Development: Develops and designs curricula, edits curricula, and develops learning objectives (30%)
- Collaboration: Collaborates with leadership, training, quality assurance, and external partners (15%)
- Project Management: Participates in strategically planning training sessions (10%)
- Regulatory Compliance & Program Support: Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and program standards (10%)
- Training Effectiveness: Reviews metrics for assessing and evaluating training effectiveness (10%)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
- Experience delivering distance learning and/or classroom training
- Experience in writing, formatting, and/or editing large documents
- Child Care Regulation Program experience or related field experience preferred
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Child Care Regulation and training procedures
- Knowledge of adult learning techniques and group process
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Skill in effective verbal and written communication
- Skill in using the Learning Management System
- Ability to prioritize time and work on multiple projects

Pay
The salary range for this position is $6,528.46 - $8,304.46 per month.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule, and the ability to telework up to 2 days per week when not delivering in-person training.
