Metropolitan Family Services empowers families to learn, to earn, to heal, to thrive. We are now hiring for a full-time CCBHC Mental Health Practitioner to join our Merrionette Park office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support children experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and substance use concerns
  • Performs comprehensive, in-depth assessment and clinical formulation, development of accurate diagnosis and strengths-based treatment plans for CCBHC services
  • Performs open access as assigned
  • Provides family, individual, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention, and case management services, adhering to CCBHC and MRO/Medicaid rehabilitation service models
  • Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions, advocacy, skill-building, and related services
  • Provides evidence-based treatment interventions for children and families per training and certifications
  • Learns and utilizes agency and community resources including schools, specialty service providers, and community programs
  • Care coordination with schools, hospitals, DCFS/CPS, juvenile justice, and primary care providers
  • Assesses community conditions that affect clients to identify resource gaps and problems
  • Works with multidisciplinary professionals including psychiatrists, nurses and community agencies to provide continuum of coordinated care to meet the complex needs of family, children and adolescents
  • Provide on-call or in-person crisis intervention services when necessary
  • Recommends financial assistance and other benefits the client may be entitled to
  • May serve on regional or agency-wide committees
  • Meets agency expectation for quantity of direct service and maintains quality and fidelity to evidence-based practices
  • Maintains timely and accurate client records and any necessary agency and CCBHC required reporting
  • Participates in agency and site based required meetings and trainings
  • Works effectively with diverse staff and service population
  • Work extended hours on school nights and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university, required
  • Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAATC), preferred
  • Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Must obtain and maintain IM+CANS and ASAM certifications
  • Behavioral health diagnosis using DSM-5
  • Culturally responsive care by approaching services that center the client's unique cultural background, values, and intersectional identity

Pay

The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $58,000 and $70,371 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. Candidates possessing a LCSW or LCPC may be considered for a possible starting salary up to $78,864.

Schedule

Full-time position requiring work extended hours on school nights and weekends.
