Mental Health Clinician - Child and Adolescent

About the role

The Mental Health Center is seeking candidates for a Mental Health Clinician position in our Child and Adolescent Program. We currently have openings on the Family Intensive Treatment Team, Level 2, and Level 3 Team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on an outpatient treatment team to provide individual and family therapy
  • Targeted care coordination
  • Consultation with medication providers and clinical staff
  • Willingness to learn state-of-the-art evidenced based practice
  • Use of electronic medical records

Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, rehab counseling, education/counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile with liability insurance in the amount required by agency policy

Skills

  • Interest in training in evidence-based practices focused on children, adolescents, and families
  • Organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of mental health disorders and psychotropic medications
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with children, adolescents, and their families
  • Culturally sensitive
