CCACRI - Community Based Outreach Team PCT
About the role
The Community Based Outreach Team Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) responds to calls dispatched by the CBI Access to Care Line and transports from CBI facilities. The role involves in-field assessment of each referral to determine care appropriateness in consultation with the CBI Triage RN, particularly when assessing risk severity in ASAM Dimensions 1, 2, and 3. The BHT ensures all documentation—including Crisis Intervention Notes, Trip Tickets, and Mobile Crisis Intervention Field Forms—is completed for each patient before the end of their scheduled shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Associate degree or higher (preferred)
- Minimum of 6 months of healthcare-related experience, with exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations (preferred)
- Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101 and Clinical Policies and Procedures
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (valid in Arizona, preferred)
- Current Arizona Driver’s License (valid and in good standing)
- Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
