Essential Duties And Accountabilities

  • Adhere to Company Tool Control Program
  • Comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Maintain proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished
  • Perform simple computer input functions
  • Perform off-site service on assigned detachments
  • Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions
  • Assist when directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment
  • Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification

Qualification Standards

  • Minimum of three (3) years documented hands on general experience in this specific aircraft maintenance occupational field, or the military or commercial equivalent, or documented OJT for T/M/S (type/model/series)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements
  • Ability to meet any Government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position
  • Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • FAA A&P License is desired
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Ability to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required
  • Review of physical demands and environmental conditions will be conducted during the interview
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

  • Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down, and working in tiring uncomfortable positions
  • Lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds
  • Ability to work within confined spaces for extended periods of time
  • Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus required
  • May be exposed to inclement weather, high noise hazards, fumes or airborne particles, electrical shock hazards, confined spaces, hazardous waste communication training, FOD and TCP awareness, security clearance awareness, ISO 9001-2000 program awareness, OOMA system training, ESD training, egress system checkout, aircraft turn-up certification, tire and wheel certification, composite material repair certification, respiratory fitted certification, operational risk management (ORM) training, release aircraft safe for flight, and VETS and MAINT collateral duty inspector certifications

Licensing, Certification Requirements

  • FAA A&P License (desired)
  • Hazardous Waste Communication Training
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Training
  • Trained Security Clearance Awareness Training
  • CNAF 4790.2 Program Awareness
  • ISO 9001-2000 Program Awareness
  • OOMA System Trained
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • Ground Support Equipment Operator Certified
  • Aircraft Towing Certified
  • Aircraft Brake Rider Certified
  • Plane Captain Certified
  • Collateral Duty Inspector (may be required)
  • Hydraulic Contamination # Aircraft Turn-up Certification (may be required)
  • Tire and Wheel Certification (may be required)
  • Composite Material Repair Certified (may be required)
  • Respiratory Fitted Certified (may be required)
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training (Release Aircraft Safe for Flight) (may be required)
  • VETS and MAINT collateral duty inspector certifications (may be required)
