Catholic Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Kindergarten teacher to join their classical and Catholic classroom. The position is available for up to 14 hours per week at their center in Lapeer, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Teach Kindergarten students in a classical and Catholic classroom setting
• Follow curriculum and grading guidelines provided by Regina Caeli Academy
• Prepare lesson plans and materials at home
• Teach in a highly structured environment

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required
• Experience in a similar setting (homeschooling, ministry, Religious Education, private school) is beneficial but not necessary
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day and have received all sacraments appropriate to your state in life
• Sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Timely in preparing for classes
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship

Skills

• Ability to follow curriculum and grading guidelines
• Preparation skills for teaching in a structured environment
