Catholic High School Teacher
About the role
We are seeking a part-time Catholic High School Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom during the 2026-27 academic year at our center in Chicagoland near the Lemont area. The position is approximately 8 hours per week. Classes may include Algebra, Biology, and Religion. No teaching certification nor formal teaching experience is required; training will be provided. Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Responsibilities
- Teach classes in subjects such as Algebra, Biology, and Religion.
- Prepare lessons and materials at home before each class.
- Deliver instruction and manage the classroom according to Regina Caeli Academy standards.
- Follow provided curriculum and grading guidelines.
- Participate in tutor training for instruction and classroom management.
- Maintain a structured, Socratic classroom environment.
Requirements
- Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith and live it day‑to‑day.
- Have received all sacraments appropriate to one’s state in life.
- Complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
- Be available to work Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, with additional preparation time at home.
- Willingness to prepare for classes at home and come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.
