Catholic High School/Middle School Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a Catholic part-time High School/Middle School teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom at our center in Sykesville, MD. Classes may include Math, Language Arts, Religion, History, and Latin. You do not need a teaching certification nor formal teaching experience to apply. We will teach you everything you need to know.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and teach classes in a highly structured environment on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:25 am – 4:00 pm
• Follow provided curriculum and grading guidelines
• Manage classroom activities in accordance with RCA standards

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and a deep love for the Catholic faith
• Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to one’s state in life
• Standard computer skills, ideally with Google Suite or an equivalent
• Willingness to prepare for classes at home and arrive prepared to teach

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Latin
• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children
• Ministry in a Catholic parish
• Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes
• Teaching one’s own children
• Teaching in a classical or private school

Additional Information

All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching at Regina Caeli Academy. Childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given (accommodations made for sick days as needed).
