Catholic Elementary Teacher

About the role

This position involves teaching in a classical and Catholic 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Grade classroom for 13 hours per week at Regina Caeli Academy's Austin, TX center.

Responsibilities

- Teach in a Socratic classroom setting. - Prepare lessons at home before coming to class. - Come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. - Provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. - Complete background checks and Safe Child training.

Requirements

- No teaching certification or formal teaching experience required. - Deep love for the Catholic faith. - Strong communication skills. - Good organization. - Timeliness. - Traditional view of the student/teacher relationship. - Living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including receiving all sacraments appropriate to one’s state in life.

Qualifications

- Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children. - Ministry in a Catholic parish. - Teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes. - Teaching in a classical or private school (not required).

Skills

- Standard computer skills, ideally with Google Suite or equivalent.
