Catholic Elementary Teacher

About the role

Teach 1st/2nd or 6th Grade in a classical and Catholic classroom.

Responsibilities

• Teach all subjects in a self-contained elementary class.
• Assist or lead 1-2 specials (art, music, PE, and/or drama).

Requirements

• No teaching certification or formal experience required.
• Experience in homeschooling or working with homeschool children is preferred.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith and ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.

Qualifications

• Curriculum and grading guidelines provided.
• Tutors are trained to follow RCA standards.

Skills

• Ability to prepare lesson plans and materials at home.
• Willingness to work in a highly structured environment.

Schedule

Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30am-4:15pm.
