Cath Lab Technologist

Avita Health System serves the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. Over the past few years, the organization has tripled in size, now employing over 2,200 team members and more than 160 physicians and advanced practitioners. The mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Avita is seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Tech to join the Cath Lab Department at Avita Galion Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives, and other compliance requirements for cath labs with ODH.
• Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures, such as intra‑aortic balloon pump/Impella and temporary pacemaker insertion.
• Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist, or cardiothoracic/vascular surgeon.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Maintain the role of patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.

Requirements

• BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• ACLS certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry.
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree (preferred).
• RCIS certification (preferred).

Skills

• Previous experience in a cardiovascular catheterization lab.
• Experience with GE MAC Lab and Innova systems.
