About the role

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Technologist to aid with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, clinical judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all testing and therapeutics in the Cath lab, including but not limited to:
    • Cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions
    • EP device and ablation therapies
    • Interventional radiology
    • Neuro diagnostic/interventions
    • Endovascular procedures
    • Structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures
  • Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care using the SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • Assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
  • Manage emergent cases.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records. Complete all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepare tests for physician interpretation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and the ability to function well under stressful situations.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in orientation as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred or ARRT(R).
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in health, science, natural science, nursing, engineering, and/or primary science OR a recent graduate of an accredited cardiovascular program.
  • Minimum two (2) or more years of full-time invasive cardiology experience preferred (not required).
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.

Schedule

4 - 10 hour shifts per week with varying call (night/weekend/holiday).
