Cath Lab Technologist

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional patient care during invasive cardiac procedures.
• Promote and restore cardiovascular health while providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered support.
• Serve as the primary assistant to the cardiologist at the sterile table during procedures.
• Perform circulating and patient monitoring responsibilities to ensure safe and efficient procedural care.
• Maintain a high standard of clinical excellence in a fast-paced, team-oriented Cath Lab environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare professional with appropriate education commensurate with clinical credential (i.e., Paramedic, LPN, etc.) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Prefer one (1) year of hospital clinical experience or demonstrated clinical efficiency in Critical Care.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completion of one hour of stroke education prior to the end of orientation and annually.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) through ARRT preferred.
• Knowledge in sterile technique and ability to demonstrate The Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN) sterile technique guidelines.
