Overview Employment Type: Full Time – Some call required Shifts Available: Days Hours: 10-hour Shifts – 7:00am to 5:30pm Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO We are seeking a Cath Lab Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, Cardiac Interventional Technologist or Cath Lab/IR Technologist. Our Cath Lab Technologist will operate under the oversight of a physician (either a Cardiologist or Radiologist). The role involves assisting in procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiological and hemodynamic data relevant to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures conducted in the cardiovascular lab. Responsibilities In order to move forward in this position you will have to have your ARRT (R) or RCIS credential with some experience in the field. Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures, which involve threading catheters through blood vessels to diagnose and treat various heart/cardiovascular conditions Ensure that all necessary equipment, including catheters, monitors, and imaging devices, are properly set up and functioning before each procedure Help prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring they are comfortable and properly positioned on the procedure table During procedures, monitor patients' vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and hemodynamic data to ensure their safety and provide real-time information to the medical team Help transfer patients to recovery areas after the procedure, monitor their condition and provide any necessary post-procedure instructions or assistance Track the par level of all instruments and supplies, and provide support for both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures in all capacities for the Cardiac Cath Lab Qualifications ARRT-R and license as required by State, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred Proficient computer skills Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
