About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cath Lab Tech II at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. This position is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assists in patient care through procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Prepares and supports patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
- Operates and maintains advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Maintains a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
Requirements
- A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required or a graduate of a degree granting program in a health science with a current certification or registration required
- A current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
- BLS & ACLS required
- Related healthcare experience required
Qualifications
- A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required or a graduate of a degree granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required
Skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
- Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
- Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
- Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
- Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
