About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cath Lab Tech II at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. This position is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care through procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Prepares and supports patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operates and maintains advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Maintains a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

Requirements

• A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required or a graduate of a degree granting program in a health science with a current certification or registration required
• A current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
• BLS & ACLS required
• Related healthcare experience required

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required or a graduate of a degree granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
