About the role

The Cardiovascular Lab Technologist/Cath Lab Tech is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures. They assist the cardiologist while adhering to departmental standards and protocols. They collaborate with other professionals to ensure effective, efficient patient care delivery and achieve desired outcomes. They perform other related duties incidental to the work described.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in performing invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Ensure adherence to departmental standards and protocols.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or an accredited school for Cardiovascular Technology/CVT.
• Previous experience preferred, especially in Critical Care and Cath lab/Cardiovascular specialties.
• Current ARRT, CVIS, CRT, or CVT certification.
• Current BLS certification (or completed within 30 days).
• Cath lab or Cardiovascular specialty certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences, RT or Cardiovascular Technology/CVT.
• Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in Critical Care and Cath lab/Cardiovascular specialties, is preferred.

• Strong technical skills in cardiovascular procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
